Empty & check on return
When bins come back, we empty any leftover labels or debris and look over every bin before it enters the wash area.
Hot-water wash
Inside, outside and lid, scrubbed with commercial-grade detergent.
Sanitize
Each bin is sprayed with an EPA-registered sanitizer and left for the full contact time on the label.
Dry completely
Bins air-dry fully before stacking, so no moisture is trapped between them.
Inspect, one by one
Cracked handles, broken hinges or stains that won't come out? That bin is retired, not sent back out.
Stored clean & covered
Clean bins are stored separately from returns, so nothing clean touches anything dirty.
Our pest policy
Pests are the number one worry with anything reusable, so we take a strict line:
- • Every returned bin is inspected before it is washed and again after.
- • Returned bins are kept apart from clean inventory until they're fully processed.
- • Any bin with signs of pests is quarantined and destroyed, never cleaned and reused.
- • If a customer reports a pest problem, we pull and inspect every bin from that order and the batch it was cleaned with.
- • Plastic bins have no corrugated layers for insects to hide in, unlike reused cardboard.
A cleaning record with every order
Every delivery includes a cleaning card with the date your bins were washed and inspected. If anything about a bin isn't right when it arrives, tell us and we'll swap it, no questions asked.
